I have officially completed week 2 of my 10K training program! Now is where I am starting to get worried. This week should be ok, because the longest run is 3 miles, which I have done before. But next week I have a 4 mile run, and I have never run over 3.1 miles!! Pretty scared, but I think I can do it!
New reader here! When is your 10k? I'm running my first 5k next Saturday and the most I've run so far has been 2.4 miles. I'm hoping that the adrenaline that everyone talks about kicks in!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo. You'll chew up those training miles Alissa. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou WILL do it! You are amazing and I know once you set your mind to it, it's a done deal! Have an awesome weekend!!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah-you can do it!!! What program are you using? I don't think I can run a 10k this year since I have just trained since Jan. to run a 5k, but it might be interesting to see how far into the program I could make it! :)

I felt the same way when I ran my first four-miler. It does seem like a big jump, but really, it's what, 10-15 extra minutes? You wouldn't even bat an eyelash if it was 15 more minutes on a bike, right? You've got this.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!!
