One of the most used tools in my kitchen is my digital food scale. It’s easier than getting out and dirtying up a measuring cup every time I eat something. Because, as anyone who is trying to lose weight knows, you must measure everything you eat. Left to guess work, I tend to underestimate what I’m eating. A digital scale is a necessary tool in any dieters kitchen, or even if you need to calculate postage.

I’m not crazy about this red (more of a burgundy) color, but that really depends on your personal preference and what works in your kitchen. The good thing is that the scale comes in 4 colors: red, white, chrome, and black. Chrome is more my style!

Probably the most important thing to look for in a kitchen scale is a tare feature, which this Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale makes easy.

Just turn the scale on and place your dish on the scale. Press the tare button:

Voila!

Time to measure your food or the package you need to stick in the mail, of course.

Another great feature is that you can push the unit button to switch from grams (as shown above) to Kg.

and to lbs.

So no matter what you’re measuring or what increment you are measuring in, you can get an accurate measurement to the nearest gram.
