Weigh in Day: Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale Review and a Conair Scale Giveaway

The scale.

We dread it, but it’s one of the necessary tools to tracking our weight loss. And just like most technology, scales are getting smarter, too. There are scales available that can provide us with more accurate and in depth information about our body composition so that we can track our progress with more data than just how much we weigh, because we know that the scale can be a little tricky sometimes.

Enter the Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale—model WW52.

The scale has a sleek, streamlined design along with a blue backlight on the 1.9” LCD screen with 2 lines. It features impact-resistant tempered safety glass platform with stainless steel and includes bone mass analysis. The 12.2” x 12.8” scale has a 400 lb. capacity and includes long-life batteries.

The Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale not only measures weight but also measures body fat, body water, bone mass, and BMI (body mass index). And because it has a four-user memory, it can be used by the whole family!

Conair Scales sent me this scale so that I could provide my honest review of the product. When I received it, I quickly read the directions and turned it on. I had my trusty Weight Watchers Conair Scale that I have used since I started this weight loss journey almost 3 years ago—it’s amazing that it still works perfectly—which is evidence of the quality of the Weight Watchers Conair Scales. I weighed myself on my old scale and then I weighed myself on the new scale—and the weight was exactly the same! So this scale fit perfectly into my weight loss journey.

The personal data mode is very easy to set up. It stores your height and age, but thankfully it does not save your weight—so no worries about a nosy guest finding out how much you weigh, which was my first concern when I set up my personal data. Hubby and I each have our user data saved on the scale to track our progress.

I weigh myself everyday because I find it most effective for me. I check my body fat, body water, bone mass, and BMI once a week on my official weigh in day. I won’t see huge changes over a week, but it at least helps me track my progress. I was happy to find that I have a healthy 7% bone mass. While this number isn’t extremely important to me at 25 years old, I know there are many of you out there who are pre or post menopausal and this factor could be very important for you to watch—and how convenient to be able to gauge it by just stepping on your bathroom scale! Understandably, my BMI shows that I am obese, but I love that I can watch this number get lower every week. I am also looking forward to watching my body fat go down as I start to up my strength training workouts. And while the scale may not show a loss in my weight, I’m hoping to see that body fat number decrease! These are the kinds of numbers that you just don’t get on your average bathroom scale, and I LOVE that I can get these numbers just by taking a single step onto my Weight Watchers Conair Scale in the privacy of my bathroom.

I also wondered how consistent this scale would be. There is nothing more frustrating than stepping back onto a scale 30 seconds later and it showing a shift in weight. This scale weighs the same no matter how many times I step on it, and not only that—it weighs to the nearest tenth of a pound so there is no guessing game—I weigh what I weigh. And I love that. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say about this scale.

The Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale Model WW52 is available at Target, as well as at www.conair-store.com for an average retail price of $49.99.

And this morning, I weighed 202.9 which is a loss of 1 lb. for the week! My BMI decreased from 33.9 to 33.7, and I lost .2 lbs. of body fat, although my body water stayed exactly the same at a healthy 45.6%. That is a tad bit confusing to me, where did I lose 1 lb. then? But, tracking these figures will be most beneficial over a period of time like a month or 6 months time rather than a week.

And now for the part you’ve been waiting for…the giveaway!

While I can’t offer the exact scale that I received, Conair Scales has offered to give one of my readers the Weight Watchers by Conair Digital Painted Glass Scale—Model WW24.
