Happy Black Friday!
I was up bright and early this morning at 5 AM and couldn’t sleep—but that was because I was so exhausted the night before that I went to bed at 9! So I got a good night’s sleep. So I got up and did some homework before anyone else was up.
I sipped on a cup of coffee with Peppermint Mocha creamer for 1 point.
For breakfast, I ate a slice of light toast with egg white beaters, a glass of milk and a side of strawberries and 1/2 banana for 5 points.
After that, my sister and I and the kids went for a 2 mile walk. I burned 228 calories.
My sister pushed the triple stroller and got her strength training in for today!
Hubby and my BIL ran the 5k route again today. I was so proud of them!
For lunch, I had a turkey sandwich on light bread with light mayo and Swiss cheese along with Hungry Girl chicken enchilada soup for 10 points.
That soup is SO good. I am going to have to make it sometime.
I also tried to get a few veggies in:

I should have cut down my lunch today, I didn’t mean for it to be so many points!
After lunch, we headed down to the train station for a trip to Chicago!
The kids were SO excited to go to Chicago. So cute.
Once we arrived in Chicago, we took the water taxi—it was a short, but beautiful ride!
We spent the entire afternoon just walking around the city. It was so fun to see all of the sights and hear all of the sounds!
It was so pretty at night, with all of the Christmas lights up.
We were trying to get a couple of good pictures for our Christmas cards.
We ate supper at the California Pizza kitchen:
I counted my share as 25 points. Oofta. Should have watched it a little better. But I really enjoyed it. We don’t have those restaurants in our area.
All of the walking had to have helped burn it off a little, right?!
We did a little shopping. I got a tank top at at Express for $6! Good deal! We stopped for a moment at McDonald’s—I ordered a FF Caramel Frappe, and she took my order, made them but I don’t think they were FF and she never asked me if I wanted whip, etc. ( I didn’t eat all of the whipped cream). They should at least say, “We don’t make those FF” if they don’t…. But anyways, this was probably 15 points. Not worth that many points…
And then we walked and walked some more!
We had such a fun and busy day today! We are not used to these huge cities, so it was a fun experience! Thank you so much to my sister and BIL for taking us on a quick tour! We loved it!
As far as my points, I used activity points, but I still have a ton left. I may have eaten more, but I have also been super active since Thursday. But this is part of life, and not something I do every day, so no guilt. I enjoyed my day!
I tried really hard from Thursday through today, but I wasn't able to eat just how I wanted either. But I know that I did much better than in years past! I count that as a kuddos, yanno? :) Anyway, back to the regular ole grind now!
