Today’s recipe was an experiment. Hubby and I decided to try to make homemade granola bars. These were good, but a little high in points- we’re going to work on perfecting them and getting a lower points value. We based this recipe off of other granola bar recipes.
Ingredients:
- 3 Cups quick oats
- 14 oz. can of sweetened and condensed milk
- 2 Tbs. Brummel and Brown Natural Yogurt Spread
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup Uncle Sam’s Cereal
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup rice crispy cereal
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
- Mix all of the ingredients together.
- Press the mixture into the greased pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let them cool, cut into 24 squares.
These are 4 points per square and do have a good flavor! Stay tuned for more granola bar recipes in the future!
You rock, A! Thanks! :)

Well they sound wonderful. I love granola.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe looks terrific... thinking out loud here... I wonder if fat free sweetened condensed milk would lower the point value...
