Well, I’m glad to hear that you like the long posts- because that’s probably what you’ll be seeing most days! :) As far as it taking a long time to do, it’s very easy if you have Windows Live Writer- which is a free download. It takes seconds to load pictures, etc. Check it out if you haven’t already!
I know that I can sleep in if I want to now, but I wanted to make sure that I got a workout in today, so I got up at 5 AM with hubby. For breakfast I had 1 cup of cheerios in 1/2 cup of 1% milk and topped with 1/2 cup of strawberries. I also had a glass of Healthy Balance juice all for a total of 4 points.
Yesterday, I noticed that the backs of both of my legs, right above the ankles, is very sore to the touch. They’re not sore when I move, but just when I touch them. Not sure what that means, but I decided to wait another day for my last run of the week. I found a Pilates video on NetFlix and burned 170 calories. I really need to be doing some strength training. I am so wobbly and weak. My hips are very weak and often hurt after running. I could really feel the pain in my hips when I did this workout- a good thing though, because I could really feel my hips being used and stretched. Hopefully I can strengthen them. Overall, I liked the workout and it felt great to stretch my whole body.
After reading blogs, I whipped up an iced coffee for 1.5 points.
For some reason, by 8:00, I was starving. I tried to ignore it because I never eat anything until my first break at work, but when my stomach started growing, I decided I better eat something because I was obviously truly hungry! I had a True Delights Granola bar: dark chocolate raspberry almond, for 3 points. This was my first time trying these. Pretty good, but I don’t like spending that many points on granola bars. It also gave me a weird heart burn feeling. But not bad otherwise!
The morning went by pretty quickly. For my 1st break I cut up 2 small peaches for .5 point.
I had some difficult customers mid morning, so that’s just stressful. I made sure to stay out of the junk food though! For lunch I made little pizzas on Arnold Sandwich Thins: 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce, 1/4 cup cheese, 1/2 cup mushrooms, and 7 mini pepperonis. I also had 1 cup of fresh green beans. Total points= 5.5.
For dessert, I had 1/2 cup of light vanilla yogurt and 1 cup of strawberries for 2 points.
For my last break I wanted something refreshing, so I had a bomb pop, left over from the 4th of July. 1 point.
I also counted out 16 animal crackers to snack on at my desk for 2 points. For some reason I am so hungry today!
This afternoon my boss told me that my grill was in and I could come pick it up. We have competitions for different things at work. My team has won both times! So hubby and I headed up to the office to pick that up once he got home from work.
We decided to eat out while we were in town. It was a spur of the moment thing and I wasn’t able to plan. We went to Fazoli’s. For some reason, I thought I was making a fairly low point choice by ordering the Penne with meat sauce, but when I got home and looked up the points it was 16 points! I also ate 3 breadsticks (only two pictured) for 10 points- wow, did I ever go over my points! But it was the perfect day to use some weeklies since I’ve been so hungry all day.
And a few hours later, I had to have my ice cream for 4 points.
Overall, I used 18.5 weekly points tonight. I guess that’s what can happen when you fail to plan ahead! But I don’t feel bad about it because I enjoyed it and I’m still within plan.
Check out how tall one of our sunflowers is! It’s seriously as tall as our garage.
Yep, things happen. That's what those points are for though! Flush your system with lots of water today though because of the sodium!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need to focus on stretching some. Go to runningworld.com and look up some of their stretches. You want to make sure your muscles aren't tight! It can cause pain and injury! I had to buy a roller (you can see my blog post) because my calves were so tight!
Sometimes the hunger just takes control! Its ok.
ReplyDeleteLove the sunflower!
I so hear ya on the whole planning ahead issue. It's a lesson I learned this week too! I do realize that life gets hectic, though, and there will be surprises, like eating out. I guess you can't plan everything. It's okay to indulge once in a while, and look at you! Your indulgence is still on plan. That rocks!
ReplyDeletei think we all have days like that! but kudos to you for counting the points, that is the important part!
ReplyDeleteThose mini pizzas seriously look delicious! I think I'm going to have to start making me some of those! For only 5.5 pts! Steal!
ReplyDeleteOh those breadsticks! I am so glad there isn't a Fazolis near us anymore. I would eat 4 or 5 of those breadsticks.....
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Special K crackers, try them - low points yummy taste and a lot of crunch for a really low points with tons of flavor! I like the Herb and tomato flavor :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pizzas, thanks for sharing those! I am going to make some!! You give me such great WW ideas, thank you.
Don't sweat the bread sticks - you might as well enjoy them if you eat them :) Have a great weekend :)
I am SO going to be making one of those pizzas...that made my mouth water when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got a night out and enjoyed some of your weekly points!
Have a GREAT weekend!
