Weigh in Day

I gained back most of what I lost last week. I had a pretty bad week. I let one little thing trip me up and then I can’t seem to get back on track.

Once again, today is a new day and I’m trying again. I bet you’re getting pretty tired of hearing that, huh?

I really do feel like I am starting from square one. Might as well forget the 80 lbs. that I lost, 75 of which I’ve kept off. I feel like I need to learn to practice will power and figure out the reasons why I want to get to goal so badly. I am unhappy with my body, I’m unhappy with how I feel mentally, and I want to change!

So what was the first thing I did when I started back in 2008? Wow…has it really been that long?!

Well, I started with a post talking about why I wanted to lose weight…this was 2 months after I actually started dieting.

Funny thing was, my second post was about a failure. Ok, so I failed even back then! But I didn’t give up…and I lost 80 lbs.! Holy Smokes!

If I could do it back then… I can do it now.

  2. It seems like you do best when you're blogging and photographing your food. If that's what keeps you accountable, maybe you have to make it a point to do that.

  3. Good attitude! And no one is tired of hearing about anything. I am the same way, feeling like I'm on and then off track. It's not going to be easy, but like you said, you did it once so you know you can do it!

  4. I think we've all made that same comment about starting over, some of us (like me) have probably said it about a thousand times. The important thing is that you do it and do it now before you gain back the whole 80 instead of just 5. 75 pounds is a great accomplishment. And keeping it off is even bigger! That's something I've never been able to do. You can do this!

  5. Getting back on track can be hard after something trips you up. Take it day by day and set a small goal. You can do this! 75 pounds is a huge accomplishment!

  6. Maybe you need something different to shake it up? I did the Engine2 Diet with great success....28 days...plant based. Also feel incredible. Best wishes! Carolyn

  7. If it were easy none of us would be blogging about weight loss journeys. There are going to be rough times, just keep looking forward. You'll no doubt succeed.
