A Day on Track

I woke up with a killer headache this morning. I definitely didn’t hydrate enough on our long bike ride yesterday. Lesson learned! But, thankfully, it wasn’t anything that ibuprofen couldn’t fix first thing in the morning.

For breakfast, I had light toast with PB and a sliced banana along with a glass of milk for 5 points.

I hate those stringy things on bananas. Ewww! And I can see one coming off of the banana onto the toast in this picture—grosses me out. How about you? lol

And also started drinking lots of water!

I spent the little time I had before work doing my homework. I don’t know where this weekend went but I didn’t get any homework done!

While working, I sipped on coffee with SF hazelnut creamer for 1 point.

On my break, I ate a Chobani Lemon Greek Yogurt. This was a new flavor to me—it was delish! 4 points.

I also had a serving of Cheerios for 3 points. I forgot how much I love these as a snack. Yummy!

For lunch, I had a BBQ chicken salad for 6 points. I needed to use up that BBQ chicken before it went bad. Delicious as always! Those are chickpeas on the salad—not peanuts. Winking smile

And I couldn’t resist a Fiber One brownie for 2 points.

I was absolutely exhausted today—I think it was from the bike ride yesterday. My body was sore and tired. So I had another cup of coffee for 1 point.

By later in the day I was genuinely hungry. I was feeling shaky and light headed—still headachy. I ate a plum for 0 points.

I didn’t want to use any more points until supper time since I didn’t have many left. It’s ok to be hungry, right? lol

For supper, I ate grilled chicken, FF cottage cheese, squash and green beans for 7 points. I also had a glass of water with fresh lemon—SOOO Good!

And finished it up with fresh strawberries for 0 points.

I have 4 points left for the evening for a little snack. I think today was a great day for me!

I am so exhausted, I know my body is telling me to take it easy after the bike ride yesterday. So I’m going to take a rest day—so early in my new exercise motivation, I know! But I am truly sore and tired. I plan on working on some homework and maybe getting to bed early.

Have a good one!

  1. Rest days are just as important as workout days.

  2. Awesome day! I'm learning to read my bodies signals. Good you can read them since they are important. I don't know if you've posted this before but do you make that bbq chicken in a slow cooker for the week or something? It must be delicious since I see it a lot ;) I'd love the recipe if you have free time between all the homework and work and life! Keep up the good work!

  4. You have been such an inspiration to me, that I joined weight watchers on Saturday. Best decision of my life!
I tried the Lemon Chobani last night, it was ok, but I don't think I'll get it again, the pineapple is so much better.
