Recognizing Successes

Last night was a success! I did not go over my daily points! I was hungry in the evening, so I counted out a snack that would be worth two points and ate some fruit along with it and I was satisfied. And wouldn’t you know, I lost more weight this morning. Smile

I wasn’t very hungry this morning, so I had a WW Key Lime Pie yogurt and grapes for 2 points.

The perfect light breakfast, but also satisfying! This WW yogurt is actually very creamy and rich for a light yogurt.

I sipped on an Almond Joy iced latte all morning for 1 point.

Yesterday was my first weigh in of the month, and while I was a little upset at myself for not sticking to the plan and as a result I ended up gaining last week, I took a look at the numbers and found that I lost 3.5 lbs. in the month of July. Now that’s progress! That’s also the most I’ve lost in a month all year. I’ve only lost 11.7 lbs. since January, which is a bit behind schedule for me because I usually lose about 30 lbs. a year, but that could all change around yet. Some months are good and some are not. But that’s still weight lost and not gained—so that’s progress once again! It’s important to look at where we have succeeded instead of focusing on our self-perceived “failures”. Success sparks success! What are you succeeding in?

On my first break, I ate some cucumbers and a light string cheese stick for 1 point.

For lunch, I made a chicken cashew salad with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, Swiss cheese topped with a  little light ranch and BBQ sauce for 8 points.

I really miss my Aldi’s Light Ranch—it is SO delicious! I bought Kraft Light Ranch and BLEH! It’s just not so good so I end up covering up the taste with BBQ sauce.

I also had a slice of Pineapple Angel Food Cake for 2 points.

On my last break, I had 2 Dark Chocolate mini PB cups for 4 points.

I think I’m a bit vulnerable to sweets right now because then I had a HUGE craving for sugar and at a spoonful of caramel and a couple bites of a chocolate pirouette—2 points to be safe. Looks like I need to keep TJ’s Dark chocolate PB cups OUT of the house! They seem to spark sugar cravings for me. Sad smile So sad because they’re so good!

And finally work was OVER!

Tonight, I have my WW meeting and then I am going to run a few errands. Hopefully, by the time I get home, hubby will be back! So I’m going to cut this post short tonight. I will recap the WW meeting in tomorrow’s post! I have 13 points left for the night and will probably grab Subway for supper.

In case you missed it, I am having another giveaway, this one provided by Everyday Health—check it out!

  1. Isn't it crazy how certain foods can spark cravings! I have never really been a soda drinker, but my husband LOVE Diet Sunkist. When we got married I started drinking it a bit...and now when we have it sitting around the house I CRAVE it...but I know as soon as I take a sip, I will want sugary foods! So I must stay away!

    Congrats on the month's loss!
