This morning- I just slept a little later to let the Nyquil wear off- not to mention I went to bed at 8:30 last night! It felt great to get in 10 hours of good sleep! The pharmacist told me taking Nyquil with my daily allergy meds would make my mouth dry- and she was right! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a dry mouth before- and that’s after drinking 12 cups of water yesterday!
For breakfast, I had a slice of Tj’s Crustless Quiche, 2 clementines, and 1 cup of 1% milk for 7 points.
We did get snow last night- enough to cancel some schools- but not mine! So I left with plenty of time and got to school just fine for my first day of class.
On the way to class, I drank 1/2 a bottle of Naked Berry Blast that hubby bought me for 3 points. If you haven’t tried these 100% juice Smoothies- I highly recommend them!
The first class- I am interested in the course itself, but the professor has me a bit worried. He has all kinds of books, movies, music, etc. that he wants us to read/view/listen to that he did not have on the list at the book store- so now I have to try to figure out how to get my hands on some of these books in short notice!
In my second class, the professor was not there. She has to commute a long way to the university and with the snow storm she wasn’t able to make it. So I’m not sure about that professor- but she did note on the syllabus that reading or buying the textbooks is not required… I’m sure a lot of people are jumping for joy- but paying the kind of money I have to pay to attend a university- she better be a GREAT teacher! I’m still going to read the books- I’ve already purchased them. After all, I am going to school to learn, right?
I was glad to get out of class early because I wasn’t feeling the best and wanted to get home! I did stop and grab a few groceries:
I was craving a pop for some reason, so I grabbed a Diet Dr. Pepper for the drive home. I drank about 1/2 of it for 0 points.
And I grabbed a 6” turkey and ham sub from Subway which I paired with 1/2 serving of Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Lay’s for 10 points.
Later on, I had a green smoothie (1 cup spinach, 1 banana, 1 orange) for 1 point.
I spent the afternoon trying to get things together for school. I spent another $60 ordering more books for the class the professor didn’t tell us there would be more books for- sure, they’re on reserve at the library, but I don’t have time to sit around and wait for the book to become available at the library and try to read it there. Some professors just don’t understand that some students work full time and don’t live on campus and have long commutes. Most are good about at least having a course listing of books with plenty of time to get the books ordered before the class begins…I digress…
And after that I got started on my reading while sipping a cup of Gevalia Chocolate Raspberry coffee- one of the new blends I got in the mail today! It was really good! This time I didn’t add creamer, just a little sweet and low. 0 points.
I was excited to find out that I won a Sears Fitness Giveaway on Twitter!
Yay! You can win too- go here for the details.
For supper, I had a salmon fillet along with boiled carrots, green beans, SF raspberry Jell-O with raspberries, and a lite english muffin topped with SF Blueberry Jam for 6 points. I almost always drink water with my meals, but I don’t always picture it- although I did tonight!
For dessert, I had a strawberry shortcake Skinny Cow for 4 points- DELISH!
After supper, hubby and I headed back into town where my university is so that I could make copies of what I need to read for the one class. But I’m glad I have that done so I can get my homework completed for Thursday. While we were there, we ran into the grocery store to get a couple of things and I grabbed a Fat Free chocolate milk- I drank half the bottle for 4 points- exactly how many I had left for the day!
I won’t be eating anything else tonight. Weigh in is tomorrow and I’m kind of excited about it because I think I’ll do well! I still have some weekly points left for the week and Activity Points, too.
Wish me luck!
I have to try one of those green shakes

ReplyDeleteIt's so worth it just to buy the simply fruit jam. It is 40 calories for 1TBS of Jam. I was buying the sugar free.. But if I am going to eat fruit that has natural sugar why am I buying Jam that is made with splenda? Just a thought. Plus it taste sooooo much better!
