A New Week

First off, Seth is having an awesome giveaway! Don’t forget to check it out and enter to win!

I had a good, relaxing weekend, but I am not happy with how I ate. I seemed to be hungry all weekend and wanted to snack. I chose healthy snacks, but just too many of them. I was happy to step on the scale and see that I had only gained .2 since Friday, but I am still up from WID, which is normal for me. But weekends like this make me realize that I am ALWAYS going to struggle with food. I need to be very careful so that I don’t slip back into old habits.

Today was the perfect day to sleep in. So I did (well- as late as I can on a work day)! It was thundering and raining and just perfect. I slept until about 6:45. I had banana nut cheerios with milk and a banana for breakfast for 4.5 points.

I whipped up an iced coffee for 1.5 points. This time I used White Chocolate Macadamia creamer- pretty good!

The morning went pretty quickly. I found out my friend from work’s Dad died- which is so sad. He actually worked at my company too. Life is so precious and can be over in an instant.

For break I had 1 cup of grapes for 1 point.

The second part of the morning went very quickly- we were very busy. For lunch, I had leftover’s from Kelly’s Ham Casserole recipe for 4 points. (I made a few substitutions based on what I had in the house- I used whole wheat pasta, too).

I also had a small salad made up of 1 cup of lettuce, 1/2 cup tomatoes and 1 Tbs. Italian dressing for 1 point.

And dessert was 1/2 cup of light vanilla yogurt with 1/2 cup of blueberries for 2 points.

We were busy in the first part of the afternoon, too. On my break I stepped outside for a few minutes and WOW, it’s a hot one! So I came inside craving one of these for 1 point:

Ahhh…so refreshing.

Before I knew it, the afternoon was over and it was time to start making supper. The picture doesn’t look too appetizing, but it wasn’t too bad! I sautéed mushrooms, onions, and a tomato and then added 2 eggs. I topped that with salsa. I had one sausage link and 4 little pancakes topped with light margarine and sugar free syrup. I also had a glass of milk. 11 points total.

Dessert was the usual- 3 points.

By the way, did you realize the date for today is 8-9-10? Kind of funny! ;) Yep, I’m a dork- but just happened to notice that!

No plans for the rest of the night, except to do a strength workout. Last week I only worked out 3 times- I cannot let that happen again!

***UPDATE*** After I wrote this, I realized how terrible I was feeling. I was feeling depressed, sluggish and tired. I got to thinking, and realized that it is probably due to the lack of exercise. So I decided to do the 30 Day Shred- with weights (10 lbers) for the first time! What a killer! I burned 177 calories and feel better already. :)

  2. Whoo hoo...exercise usually does make us feel better if we can muster up the energy to do it. Good for you because I know how hard that can be. When I feel like that I grab ice cream :(

  6. Great job, today! I know what you mean about falling back into old patterns. It seems so easy to do! However, when I have those times I realize how horrible I feel physically. Just not worth it!

  9. Great job on the exercise! The heat here in Kansas has been a killer! It's suppose to be over 102 degrees all week long. Ugh!
