Weigh In Day

I weighed in today at 239.6. That’s right, I gained .6 lb. I was very disappointed. I really wanted to meet that 50 lb goal!

So for the month of February:

Started at: 240.8

Ended at: 239.6

Total lost: 1.2 lbs.

I am not very happy with that at all. I did the 30 Day Shred every single day last month and this is all I get? I’m really getting frustrated.

Today I made a couple of bad choices including a couple of trips to the vending machine. I’m so hungry lately. But I have my weekly points so I’m trying not to be hard on myself.

Why can’t weight loss be easy?

  1. I can definitely understand your disappointment!
But what you achieved in February was awesome. You did the shred everyday, that in itself is worthy of a gold medal :) If i had one i'd give it to you right now.
Although you didn't lose what you wanted to, you also didn't gain and i'm sure you are a lot stronger now than you were before!
    Keep up the great work.

  3. That is disappointing. Since you are keeping track of points, maybe you could take a close look at where you are "spending" those points and try to pinpoint any areas that you might want to tweak a little. After all, your exercising doesn't need improving. That is a real accomplishment. Don't forget to pat yourself on the back for that!

  5. Shred is more of strength than cardio. So you could have gained more muscle. Did your other measurements change? Maybe then you would know if you have shrunk a bit more than you thought.

  6. It might be time for you to start focusing on other changes than the scale. Strength, endurance and measurements can really help keep you focused. The scale will be slow some months and faster others.

  7. I know it is so hard to stay focused when the scale doesn't move as you want it to. You have accomplished a lot with your physical endurance and fitness. The scale will move. My only thought is to really pay attention to the food intake now that you've got the exercise going so well. Sometimes when I exercised a lot or very consistently, I would eat just enough more to put myself in a temporary maintenance mode. That wasn't always a bad thing though because then I was learning that balance point.

Stay strong - you are doing great!

  8. I just read your post and can see that you have been sticking to this for a while. Great job, btw. Do not always listen to the thoughts that pass through the mind, they are not always nice to you. Look at how far you have come, and keep in mind that your weight can vary from 3 to 5 pounds in a day for various reasons. I have no idea what the shred in 30 days entails but perhaps you can re-adjust to something that will work better for you. You inspire me with your persistence ...keep up the good work. Be kind to your self. You are doing great!
